2. It's too sad.
In Phoenix our one major newspaper is the Arizona Republic, which is by and large a republican newspaper. They are owned by the same bunch who owns our NBC affiliate as well as USA Today. These three by and large control most of the news content we receive, which is why I have to spend so much time on the internet trying to get the real news that is going on.

Today on our front page was a giant picture and article on the Phoenix Suns win over the Dallas Mavericks, which took up almost half of the page. In a small box near the bottom of the page was a blurb about the Supreme Court ruling limiting protection for government whistle blowers. This is why I don't wonder why most people here are ignorant as to what is really going on in this country. It's a damn shame and a disservice to our democracy. (what remains of it)

3. Email Chairman Martin
He's one-upping ex-FCC lapdog Michael Powell:

4. ALSO, let's face it --
so long as corporations are the ones who pay what it takes for anyone to get elected, our representatives (whether Rep oir Dem) will continue to answer above all to their paymasters. Including, making sure their corporate paymasters continue to own the media and the election machines that HELP them get elected.
