In honor of Memorial Day
Edited on Sun May-28-06 10:06 PM by amerikat
I am watching the History Channel marathon of "Band of Brothers". What an amazing story of courage and sacrifice for a worthy cause. Unlike the current war without end or even any definition. My Father and his brothers all served to fight the Nazis.

edit to add: I will fight the new Nazi in any shape, form or creed.

1. My dad was lost in the Bermuda Triangle when I was a baby
42 people were lost with him. He was in the Navy. Radio man on last flight.

4. Well, they had instrument troubles, came back, got another plane
then was never heard from again-after a couple of hours. It could be methane gas, magnetic fields, anything-so he's either at the bottom of the ocean, or in the cosmos-don't know. But, I do feel justified when I complain about the state of things, because my dad gave his life for this country.

3. PS
On the 50th anniversary of the event, 10/31/2004 (I was in Washington DC during the 2004 elections!) I got him a grave site at Arlington National Cemetery. It was a great service.
