5. The way a soldier sees it...
you sign up and follow orders. I know, I was a soldier. Once in theater, the politics do not matter. You do your part of the mission, for your country best interest. Once there you fight for your unit and your brothers with you.

That was very nice, but it may not receive a very good welcome here. Some people just can't distinguish between who is doing what they have to (Military)& the Government.

6. Nobody "had to do" anything! Such crap! Military is an arm of the
government and GI's are government property! I know because I was also a GI!
