George Galloway branded 'laughing stock' after Big Brother cat act

George Galloway has been branded a "laughing stock" by a Labour opponent after the Respect MP imitated a cat on Celebrity Big Brother.
Mr Galloway, 51, went on all fours and pretended to sip cream from actress Rula Lenska's hands, as part of a task set on the Channel 4 show.

Labour London Assembly member John Biggs accused the Bethnal Green and Bow MP of neglecting his constituents.

But Mr Galloway says taking part in the programme is good for politics.

3. Oh, Gawd...
I agree with much of what Galloway says (not, I should note, all of it), but if I were the James Carville or Karl Rove to Galloway, I would NEVER have had him go on this show. Maybe things are different in British politics, but I would see nothing but disaster from this if it were American politics.

4. You've got to understand...
Galloway was already pretty much a laughing stock in the UK before going on Big Brother. Nonetheless, a lot of people over here enjoyed his little trip to the US last year.

5. NSA must be pissing itself right now. "You've got nothing on me,
Senator"......and then just a few months later, Dumbass admits secret wire taps didn't need any warrants.

7. I've been trying to find a clip of this to show people
It was one of the weirdest, most uncomfortable things I've seen in a long while. The entire show last night was fucked up, but there was this almost ten minute long sequence of Galloway pretending to be a cat (making some very creepy noises), then Rula being an elephant taking a shit and being led by her 'trunk' by Galloway before turning into a gorilla. Then it cut to the white room (where previously Galloway had watched whilst Michael Barrymore smashed eggs on his forehead) and Galloway tested Lenska on her ability to read a goldfish's mind.

8. No worse than Bidens cap act in the Alito hearings. Actually Joes' act
may have been worse.

Big Brother has morphed into a weird culture of "forgive the riduled"

So it might yet work. One of the things the British public seem to want of their celebrities is that they get humiliated, these days. Then they "forgive" them for being more famous than they themselves are and let them make more money.

I think George is trying to tap into this.
