and are you scared because you don't know enough, or know too much about it?

2. I fear an incompetent response from our public health agencies.
I fear selective distribution of resources and medicine; I fear that the first person who gets sick in each family will be vulnerable if they have to wait 3 days to see a doctor.

Don't even try to sell me on how our health organizations know how to respond in a case like this. My family has suffered more at the hands of American malpractice, than we did when we lived in a third world countty.

3. How will those of us without insurance be able to get medical care?
How will people be able to get medicine when we're not even preparing for this unhappy event? What medicine are we going to use to prevent the spread of the flu since a leading expert in bird flu says Tamiflu vaccine is worthless in preventing H15whatever?

And how are we going to keep Smirky from declaring martial law once he sees an opening? He already calls himself the 'War pResident'. He could add another title to his list (king, dictator, clairvoyant, defender of the American people against the evildoers, etc.) by becoming the Flu pResident as well.

5. I'm afraid the government's reaction to the Bird Flu will be
Yippee, a weapon of mass destruction they can turn loose just about anywhere and claim it is just a pandemic.

6. Not having the accurate information and watching pandemonium
created by the media and the Government. Imagine there's no bird flu in your neighborhood, but the government says there is, and you watch the tanks from your windows as you are not allowed out of your house to buy food or medicine. Forget your job. Gone. And to make the last insult, your local police ticket your car for illegal parking because you didn't move it.

7. The cable news theme music
I hate it when a story gets its own theme music.
