Defend Lynn Woolsey, an *anti-war* DEMOCRAT

While much attention on these pages has been turned to the insurgent campaign of Democrat Lamont against Bush-hugger Lieberman, i have yet to see anything about the campaign against Lynn Woolsey, being waged by Joe Nation (yeah, strange name).

While Woolsey has been in the forefront of the movement in Congress to get out of Iraq, Joe is much more friendly to keeping troops in Iraq, while saying that the war was a "mistake".

Rep. Lynn Woolsey Representative for the 6th District of California, has been at the forefront of the struggle to bring our troops home from Iraq. She was the first Congress member to introduce legislation specifically for this purpose, and has been pushing the issue hard ever since, gaining allies from both sides of the aisle. Since April 20, 2004, she has given more than 120 speeches on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives calling for an end to the war. Her work on issues of health care, education, civil liberties and the environment make Rep. Woolsey one of the most important members of the Democratic Party and a woman to be admired. PDA is honored to endorse her in the upcoming midterm elections.

He spent a lot of time in Marin County local politics. People don't like him. I understand that he is being supported by Republican fundraising efforts.

3. He actually has many leaders supporting him, so they can stay

on the right-side (excuse the pun)of the big boys. Woolsey will probably win, but its taking real work.
