If the guy is still a Democrat, as he claims, then why he involved in the wrong party's primary? After speaking at the GOP convention, endorsing Bush, practically marrying Sean Hannity and writing smear books and praising the swift boat liars-hasn't he reached the point where the media should have to put a disclaimer on calling him a democrat?

Cagle downplaying Reed's Giuliani endorsement

UNDATED - The Gainesville man running for Lt. Governor is downplaying the importance of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani's visit to Georgia for a fundraiser for candidate Ralph Reed.

"Certainly we welcome Giuliani to Atlanta and wish him very well," said State Senator Casey Cagle, "Endorsements don't win elections."

Cagle, meanwhile, is bringing publishing magnate and former presidential candidate Steve Forbes to Atlanta for a $1,000-a-plate fundraiser next month.
