2,454 now dead in W's Iraqi War
See at www.icasualties.org Click the Afghanistan tab for the horrors there. This so sickens me. How many of these kids gave their lives for money for an education while the rich elitists with W's tax breaks simply paid their kids tuition and told them to have fun in their studies?

1. 532 more and we'll have officially doubled the 9-11 death toll of 2986.
Cheery, isn't it?

3. So depressing it's unbearable

bless each loved ones' heart. Grindingly sad. I wish the families were allowed to be more vocal. Cindy, can't be the only mother that sees through the lies. I wish more folks would stand up with her. I still believe each soldier was a hero. I am proud of them for their service to our country. I wish they did not have to sacrifice their lives for this particular cause. I send the families my thoughts, love and prayers.

4. Pietr Van Dyke (sp?) just on CBS 'Up to the Minute'......
IIRC, 20,000 more troops will be in Afghanistan this fall, doubling the 20,000 already there. Said the number there currently is more than was there during the invasion and after. He stated the government is quiet on this. Also believes there will be more violence to come.

Tonite, I'm more distressed than usual upon hearing this. I have hope, but still, affected by the continuing malevolence that has been perpetrated upon the citizens of our Beloved Country and others in the world.

5. Heya, Erika
You said, "How many of these kids gave their lives for money for an education while the rich elitists with W's tax breaks simply paid their kids tuition and told them to have fun in their studies?"

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed the classist slant on the Army/Army Reserve commercials. The recruits in their commercials always come from blue-collar, working class neighborhoods or what might even be considered working poor neighborhoods. One commercial even has a group of reservists running through the streets of a very "modest" community. It's SO obvious at who these commercials are aimed. Do you ever see military recruitment commercials that feature kids from wealthier homes? White collar homes? Recruits running by the cul-de-sac in a gated community? The dad or mom a lawyer, doctor, investment banker, CEO? Of course not!

This is George Bush's America -- he gives the wealthy their tax breaks, we give them our sons and daughters so they will never feel inconvenienced by such unpleasant matters as war and death.
