How many Wacos will be permissable under Alito?
Edited on Thu Jan-12-06 01:21 PM by The Backlash Cometh
Personally, I think Janet Reno got a bum rap because she was only in the position a few weeks when she acted on bad information from the FBI. (An intelligence agency dispensing bad information, who knew?} But that's not the point. The point is that the right-wing machinery went into overdrive over Waco and it became a symbol of government abuse of power.

But once Alito gets into office all signs are that he will continue the police powers extended by Scalia. Obviously, the incredibly insular right-wing must be interpreting the Scalia opinions as applicable only to minority groups, but the reality is, that Waco-like experiences are likely to happen if the police state continues.

Why haven't the right-wingers figured this out yet?

3. for the same reason they think that sexual orientation only means
gay. I could fire my employees for being straight in Texas, if I wanted to, and there isn't a damn thing they could do about it, including sue me for lost unemployment or retirement wages.

They have an agenda, and that agenda is to discriminate and they can't even remotely imagine consequences.

4. They really don't understand consequences.
And you know what, I've determined that Republicans are pussies. They're afraid of everything and want to nuke anything that threatens them. Their convictions are so strong that they're sure that they can use the government to force other people's children to fight against the enemies they fear.

So much for the small government party.
