Woodstock - Jonathan Tasini is biking 600 miles through 16 Empire State cities in just three weeks.

The U.S. Senate hopeful will finish in Buffalo on May 30. He'll arrive bruised, sore and sweaty, but just in time for the state's Democratic Convention.

His opponent for the Democratic nomination, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, won't even break a sweat.

4. He'll bike more miles than he'll get petition signatures.
I hope he's got a hell of a plan to get those 15,000 signatures.

5. I think that you are being sarcastic
I personally think that Hillary Clinton having a primary challenge would be a huge coup for the progressive movement.

I haven't seen much of a petition effort for him in NYS, however I just got on his email list a couple days ago.

I think he can do it, and he has some hard workers pulling for him.

Was I right about the sarcasm? I had thought about only carrying for Hillary Clinton as she might have coattails.

Petitions don't go out until June, so there is still time.

14. When are petitions going out to carriers?
Who is coordinating the Hudson Valley? Has John Hall been contacted? Maurice Hinchey? Anyone up here?

7. I mention the guy to everybody I know who is left-leaning at all
I have yet to hear a negative response. I can probably get a half-dozen signatures. Are there two thousand more like me? I bet there are!

11. How does it work, exactly?
I haven't done any volunteer work or petitioning. I just take some paper and a clipboard and get some signatures? I could certainly find time to do that!

13. it is kinda like that
i have a walking list of dems in my area. i get the petitions from the chairman of our local party, then bring them around to have dems sign em.

I've heard that in NYC, they "just have people sign em", but I don't know.

I was once involved in a petition challenge.
