first labor force is now 10 percent, down from 33 percent in the mid 50s

this country's last hopes revolve around things like labor solidarity

what other demographic is as easily organized, outside of aging boomers, many of whom have turned into their parents?

3. yep...now the social Xray bimbette is saying he doesn't help
the manufacturing segment

DUH! SEIU represents SERVICE workers, the largest labor demographic

what's going to happen to the AFL-CIO?

he split from them, and a major restructuring is now taking place in the American labor market

2. THE voting bloc, only one that can be delivered, is the Religious Right
...at present.

Kennedy depended on the middle-class and union support to beat Nixon in 1960.

We need to reform and reinstitute unions in America, pronto.

5. I was talking about our side of the political equation, but you're right
about that easily quantifiable segment, and most analysts credit Rove, etal, for mobilizing that group in 04 much better than they did in 2000.

they were the group that got the fascists close enough to steal the election last time

9. I'm a 17 year Teamster and I thought the segment was fair.
I did pick up the "union boss" label several times. That is not the way it is. These labor leaders are elected to office. She also threw in the cult of personality charge near the end. I said to my wife our media glorifies the super wealthy such as Bill Gates or Warren Buffet in a cult like manner and I never hear them point that out.
