CLEVELANDERS TO HOLD COUNTER CHENEY "FUNDRAISER"
Anti-war group to protest Cheney on Iraq War and Halliburton Profiteering

The Northeast Ohio Anti-War Coalition (NOAC) will sponsor a "Counter-Cheney fundraiser" on Public Square on Monday, May 15 at 11: 30 AM in conjunction with the Cleveland visit of Vice President Dick Cheney.

Cheney will be in Cleveland for a fundraiser for Lorain Mayor Craig Foltin, who's running for Congress.
A $250 per person luncheon will take place across the street from Public Square at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel. For an additional $2500, guests can have their photo taken with Cheney.

Since he's running for US Senate. Dems didn't emerge with a real strong candidate in the OH-13 primary, either.
The woman who won, Betty Sutton, doesn't even live in the district. Here's hoping she moves into the district and starts getting to know the Dems who live there.

Join NOAC in giving Cheney the proper Cleveland welcome. We will meet on Public Square at 11:30 a.m., May 15, 2006. Bring signs, banners, and noise-makers. NOAC will offer its own version of having "your picture taken with Cheney," as well as selling bottles of "clean" water and "fresh" air for a fraction of the cost of attending the real fundraiser. The point to selling these NOAC items is to shed light on the outrageous nature of the cash that will be exchanged across the street and to focus on how Cheney et al has "sold out" the interests of the public (including the troops) to his buddies at Halliburton and his buddies in the oil industry.
