...from complete nuclear annihilation. This NSA spying on Americans stuff would have never been allowed to be used to find and locate undercover Soviet KGB agents living among us during the Cold War. Not in a million years.

Yet because a Chimpanzee tells us that we must be so afraid of Osama bin Laden (a former CIA asset no less) that we must all give up our right to privacy.

Whats the matter with this picture?

1. Great point.....we brought down the feared Russians without..
breaking our laws. Why should the war on terror be any different.

3. Excuse me? We started the terror movement
In Central and South America, Afghanistan, Angola - we organized and armed resistance movements ... remember Iran-Contra? You think what we did to Allende in Chile was legal?

Remember the Church hearings? They still make today's headlines tame by comparison.

FYI, Americans have always had a yellow streak - that's why Franklin had to argue, "We must hang together, gentlemen...else, we shall most assuredly hang separately."

7. I know what the Reagonites did was deplorable.....
I am just saying a good argument to use to help convince the sheeple that giving up our freedoms is completely unnecessary.

2. The whole spying thing is what the Soviets would have done
To stand by and allow this to happen is saying to any terrorist that they have won. Terror is after all what the terrorist are after, as well as killing their targets. They are satisfied with the terror in the hearts and minds of those whom they are terrorizing.

To allow the bu$h regime to use terror in the name of taking freedom from the American people is giving victory to the terrorist.

The number one terrorist in the world today is George W. Bu$h.

4. Remember Tiberius Cesar...
This is nothing new, and BTW remember that Caligula publicly burned all the records, after he'd had them copied, of course.

5. Great point. After the Timothy McVeigh attack there was no such
craven response either. Well, Clinton would never have demanded it.

6. Assuming you must have grown up close to when I did.....

You know....I'm thinking some of us were just too "innocent" to see what was coming and yet some of us were imbued with Patriotism and Skepticism...and so we ended up here.

And, I do know that we have hearts of Partiots in the vein of our Founders who hoped for a new vision in the world.

Glad to be hear with 'ya! "Handshake!"
