Doing our part

One of my fellow Inara authors is doing an on-line chat today. Her futuristic romance serial is about the aftermath of a fascist takeover in the U.S., and a massacre of protestors at the Mall of America, and the survivors being sent to a penal colony on the moon.

One of the readers posted a "Grrrr" in response to an excerpt and Rochelle asked if she was angry at the government or just didn't like the excerpt. The reader responded that she was angry with the government.

I sent a post saying that she was getting as bad as me, spreading dissent on the web and that Agent Mike from the NSA would be quite disappointed in her.

Her response was that she took "bad as me" to be quite the compliment.

Another author chimed in and said that if Rochelle and I kept up the anti-government conspiracy stuff, they'd be getting a call from us to come bail us out of jail.

My response? "Bail? There's no bail from Gitmo! Or the moon, for that matter. ;)"
