I think the media keeps talking up the economy so that they can help
the GOP get those tax cuts passed.

How the fuck can the economy be so great when people are selling and/or pawning their possessions to pay for a tank of gas?

What do you think?

1. Yeah, I'd have to agree. "The economy is great, but it could be better"
"that's why we need those tax cuts for the rich"

:puke:

2. I'm struggling to remember a time where they talked DOWN the economy
during King George II's reign. It was ALWAYS rosy, despite downsizing after layoff after plant closing after offshoring after newly christened ghost town.

3. Lou Dobbs just reported that the proposal just passed the House
right along party lines.

the haves and the have mores

his courtesans, at the event where he actually mouthed those Antoinette-ish words.

polls show the people are NOT buying the hype about rising income, rising stock market, and rising employment

they SEE the stories EVERY day about plant closings, job outsourcing, GM and other huge employers reneging on employee pension/benefit packages, insanely rising health costs

exactly WHAT is good about this economy, unless you're the head of health congloms, oil companies, or defense contractors?

5. The only ones the economy is good for is the GOP syncopates getting
the no bid contracts to fleece America. And the top 1% and BIG OIL. Basically if you are a parasite you are happy.

8. People know better - People with money know a LOT better
I snipped this -

Insider selling
Market Ramblings from SmartMoney.
"...Recently, insider selling has reached its highest level since just prior to the 2000 crash. Even if we're not going to go the same way again, it might pay to heed the signal this time. A little caution seems warranted."

I think it is right on the mark. This was from last week. I don't know where this market is going to top, but I think it is topping. The fact is most important dow components have been in distribution for months. I was expecting some correction in the fourth quarter last year-didn't happen.

I think it is just building up steam. And the smart money is leaving town here, so to speak.

B*sh says the economy is great - then why are they selling? I don't think he is capable of telling truth from BS.

Joe
