Jon Stewart busts * once again.
Bush used exactly the same words to compliment Hayden as he did when nominating Goss, the guy he just shit-canned.

35. Yes... the one at crooksandliars?
I posted it on YouTube a few hours ago... isn't searchable just yet but hopefully will be soon. I'd love for it to get onto the Most Viewed list... it was one of the best TDS segments I've seen.

9. Saw this last night...priceless.
Everything about George Bush is a rerun, though. A rerun of the Nixon White House. May the ending be the same.

13. Ah, if only!
The other problem with Bush is his vocabulary is only so big and his reading capability not much better so he is very limited about what he can say.

30. I'll take whatever we can get, but if he resigns and leaves the
White House in shame before the end of his term, I'll take that.

I really do want the SOB to do jail time for his crimes, but realistically I think deals would be made that would prevent that from happening. :(

Why can't they give us the "real" news like Jon Stewart?

17. Is it not sad?
When Jon does "serious" interviews with guests, though quite funny, he so often elicits more substantive information than the Paula Zahns of the world. I actually do feel I get better news from The Daily Show than the networks (which I have ceased watching, save for the blood pressure elevating swill on Sunday mornings).

32. Welcome to DU Felinity.....I've stopped watching the networks too
We sometimes watch Bob Schieffer but get our news from the Internet and Jon Stewart....what does this say about our country? Yes, it's very sad. At age 66 I find myself wondering if life will ever resemble what it used to be like.

37. you'd think their liberal bias would cause them to show this
the emperor exposes himself to an extent that even he has rarely done, and the "liberal" networks still pretend he has clothes?

21. As funny as this is, it really bugs me that we live in an era where
we get the important information that makes our democracy function from our clowns while the institutions that are supposed to protect us -- the press, congress, even the opposition -- are asleep at the wheel and dead in the water.

38. very distressing, isn't it?
Maybe Colbert wouldn't be under attack right now for being "rude" if the MSM had done their job. Instead, it was up to Colbert to personally bust Bubble Boy's protective candy shell with his "truthiness".
Corporate media is hardly liberal. It's scared. Scared of not having White House access. Scared of losing viewership/readership/advertising.
Think of all the stories which haven't been covered or haven't been followed up on.
The Bush storm troopers come in and the stories fade.
There is a definite lack of courage.

28. The video is now up at Comedy Central .com too. Replay of last nights...
...show is on again at 2:00pm.

Here's the link to the Goss nomination video: <http://www.comedycentral.com/sitewide/media_player/play.jhtml?itemId=68793>

Look for last nights video soon at: <http://www.comedycentral.com/shows/the_daily_show/videos/most_recent/index.jhtml>

They covered the Ray McGovern interruption of Rummy, and the reaction of the talking heads, and a AWESOME Expose' of Illegals crossing the boarder from CANADA! Very funny stuff.

Last nights threads. Warning: There are some spoilers in these threads.
