24. So sick of 'gates' - even though this one does legitimately have claim

on the 'gate' given that some of the activity was at the infamous Watergate complex.

Like with the Plame story I prefer "L affair de Plame" to "Plamegate".

Need a phrase that captures the duelling sense of "Prostitution" in the story - as in the Congressmen are acting as Prostitutes (give them $ or Hookers and they will give you fed. contracts/dollars) in exchange for getting free servicing from Prostitutes.

An alternative. I like to emphasize the well-known Republican tradition of using prostitutes, male and female, whenever possible. They even went so far as to install a favorite gay male prostitute in the White House (I never get tired of pointing that one out!).
