I think he should be made to sit through things like this at least as often as Saddam is having to sit through his trial. Having to hear it broken down to the "lowest common denominator" should be his fate for the rest of his life.

Those are funny - he definitely could feel the barbs of truth digging in deep.

You can tell he's very unhappy, likely angry, as he's a bit red in a few of the captures. He's also very uncomfortable hearing the truth. He doesn't really care what anybody else thinks, but he also feels he shouldn't have to listen to those who disagree with him.

He's right. He will always be right. Anyone who doesn't agree with him is always wrong.

I'm glad he's had to put up with a few things like this. He has to see the protesters. He reads their signs. He had to sit there at Mrs. King's funeral and listen to the truth about his actions, knowing he was the most hated man in the building.

Not taking anything away from Colbert (I consider him a hero, I really do), but he didn't say anything the people here haven't been thinking. And we're just a fraction of the American people who wholeheartedly endorse the anger and accusations inherent in Colbert's twenty minutes.
He voiced America's simmering distrust and bile - brilliantly. Thank you very much, Mr. Colbert.
But I think there are huge chunks of people - media included - who still don't get it.

It was fun watching him squirm, though.

Someone else said we're not afraid of him anymore, and I think that's correct. I've always been disgusted by him, but as his rapacious megalomania became ever more obvious the longer he was in office, I admit I had some fear of him. Genuine little shudders of fear, knowing what he's capable of.

Now I just don't care anymore ... there is blood in the water and yes, the sharks smell it, but so do all the other fishes in the sea! I picture him being nibbled to pieces while we all watch ... and I do feel a tad guilty for such hateful thinking, but hey, he started this nastiness, not us!
