does anyone think that if we bring the troops

2. It hadn't occured to me and doesn't matter to me at all.
I want the troops home no matter what. I'm much more concerned that my boyfriend and ALL of them come home safely.

Not that you're not concerned about that as well.

5. We've had a stranglehold on Iraq oil
so if we leave and the Iraqiis can do what they want with their oil,
I'd imagine the world oil supply would increase significantly over
time and this bring down the price of gasoline!

Will we release our stranglehold on Iraq's oil?
Why of course NOT!!

8. No. But US troops will not leave for another decade
because * is simply implementing the US handbook on intervening in foreign "nations" to ensure Business interests will have markets to use for the good of the US. And I'm sure the next Supreme Ruler will follow the handbook as well.

The Oil infrastructure is still in shambles, everyone knows the oil production is off significantly since 1990 and that is because of the last 16 years of US strangle hold of Iraq. Now, throw in the all-out instability and you need millions in investment.

What it adds up to, is US oil companies will be given tremendous amounts of US money (read: your stolen tax dollars) in order to re-build the infrastructure, then they will pump out the oil make gobs of money in the "free market" off of the oil, keep their allies in Government (Dem and Rep) flush with petro dollars and in office. Which therefore means the US Government will continue to keep troops in Iraq.
