I am LOATHE to say this but,...Americans have become pathetic!!!
My intention is NOT to demean or dehumanize my own people but rather point out the FACT that, we ARE PATHETIC about taking a stand for the basic values we are supposed to advocate, to live for!!!

We have a C-I-C who has deceived/betrayed/exploited us; who has BROKEN NUMEROUS LAWS; who makes fun of the basis for an unecessary war (HA HA are those wmds under my chair, under my desk, in my desk drawer), who has enable big corporations to squeeze every penny out of our people, who has admitted domestic "BIG BROTHER" spying on fellow Americans AND HAS THE AUDICITY TO SAY HE WILL CONTINUE, who "outed" an operation tracking WMD proliferation, who fucking flew to D.C. to intercede in a PERSONAL matter about a "living will" matter while simutaneouly IGNORING the treatment of a CONSCIOUS LIFE, who intentionally supported covert psy-op propaganda, who intentionally ignored the deaths and failures in Iraq, who plummeted our nation's credibility into oblivion, who callously USES others for photo ops, who has increased poverty and uninsured at least double (perhaps, triple), who treats the victims of Katrina like a third-world problem rather than his own fucking responsibility, who cuts veterans benefits while simultaneously increasing funding for recruitment and "advertisements",....

I mean, FUCK!!!!

A few million illegal immigrants can get their shit together enough to fight for their existence in this country. Hundreds of millions of human beings around this earth are able to get their shit together to oppose this tyrannical C-I-C of ours.

But, we,....we Americans have become so pathetic, so,...apathetic,....so, WHAT!!! WHAT!!!! What is our damned problem? Have we become cynical? Are we hopeless/powerless? Are we apathetic? Are we resigned? Are we "brainwashed"?

I reach a point where I don't WANT to understand, anymore. I want answers from those Americans who behave in such an apathetic, powerless, cynical, pathetic way!!!!

EXPLAIN IT TO ME?!?!?! Then, I DEMAND you listen to the consequences of your apathy 'cause, if you think you have anything to complain about now, you should know how YOU contribute to the fate of your life and your country.

I am thankful to have a "space" to freely express myself. :bounce:

4. Exactly. People out there are angry about more than gas prices
but we the people have been shut out of government, out of the media, and out of control over our own destiny. Increasingly, we're being shut out of the good life via the economy.

There's plenty of blame to go around. After all, we the people didn't even get our votes counted honestly in the last 2 general elections.

I blame both parties, the GOP for its brazen corruption and the Democrats for their utter inaction.

The rage I'm hearing out there is going to start boiling over soon.

5. If you include yourself in the "Americans" I speak of,...you're being,...
,...personal rather than factual. I am sorry you are unable to distinguish yourself and your activities from those hundreds of millions who have done nothing. Must I specifically state the 240 millions Americans who fail to act in order to separate you,...or can you do that on your own knowing I am not directing my rant at those few million who, like me and you, have busted our asses to oppose this tyranny?

Let's be real. Name all those Americans who are monumental.

6. It isn't called weapons of mass distraction for nothing.
I mean we have a media-government complex, keep them distracted, NFL draft, NASCAR, Nick and Jessica, Survivor, American Idol.
Don't get me wrong it is OK to take a break from the issues, but we have a Media that works to keep the sheep in line with entertainment. Easier than sending the gestapo and running the camps. That is why I think this dictatorship we are about to enter is closer to Terry Gilliam's Brazil than Hitler or Stalin.

You are wrong, personally characterizing me as you have taken such liberty in so doing. You are wrong. You are definitely a person in no position to lecture about "self-righteousness". And, we will have no futher discourse.

30. My daughter is a reporter
for a paper in Colorado. We chatted earlier and she was telling me about the marches taking place. I asked her why in the HELL the immigrants, and their supporters, can organize a NATIONWIDE boycott for tomorrow and we, THE PEOPLE, cannot seem to get our act together to get rid of that poor exuse, bottom feeding a$$hole who STOLE OUR HOUSE and has run this country into the ground! Of course, it was a rhetorical question because no one seems to know the answer.

31. I believe, we have become "poor".
No matter how much we fill our own "poverty" with material STUFF,...we are POOR in mind/body/spirit.

I believe we are poor. We can't even value promises or truth or people. We value lies and gadgets and illusions..

We're so poor.

12. You are Right On!!
This pathetic pack of criminals we call national leadership is a cabal of the worst kind. I have felt the same way for weeks. The MSM media barely mentions it, last night the NBC news gave it 5 WHOLE SECONDS before they moved on to the next topic covering the April 29th rally in NYC.
We need to take back the media, pure and simple. Amen to your sentiments, BTW. We are pathetic. We should take to the streets with signs every day calling for impeachment, resignations, etc. What I find really sad is the blind foolish nabobs who still support this administration even after all the crimes have made it pretty clear what an incompetant crook he is.

19. Maybe, if we weren't taught to be so self-absorbed or righteous or proud.
We'd be,...involved, impactful, active,....ATTENTIVE.

I don't know.

I'm just digusted at the apathy.

I'm ranting and earnestly wanting to know why we've become, as a "people",...so pathetic in protecting the values we mouth, in advancing not only our existence but all humanity's existence.

25. Sadly, most Americans I know couldnt be bothered by whats going on.
As long as they have their cellphones, shopping malls, American Idol and other creature comforts, they are content to let things go on as they are.
Granted there are many that DO give a shit, but the people I see and hang with down here in San Diego just stand down and take it.
