*************************************************************************
There's a kid in a jail in Minnesota or Michigan who's doing life for conspiracy to deliver cocaine. When he was 18 and undercover cop coerced and cajoled and pressured this kid into giving him a name of someone that he (the kid) knew dealt cocaine. It wasn't a friend of this kids, just someone he knew. The cop did cocaine with the kid, the cop lied to the kid, the cop was just plain dirty. The kid went to prison for LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE when he was 21 (all the events started when the kid was 18). The cop, scum sucking bastard that he is, went on with his life and 'career'.

Why should this kid go away for LIFE and Limbaugh, fat lying piece of shit conniving bastard that he is, get a slap on the wrist. Well, not even a slap, the threat of a slap since his record will be expunged?

edit to add:
Oh to be a white Arizone senator's son or a cheap white republican pseudo-media lying asshole. Apparently they can do no wrong, but if the do, they don't deserve punishment.

right, rush is a no count-bastard and I wish it was possible to give him what he dishes out instead of kids being locked up because they have no way to get ahold of 32,000.

20. Nah, I don't think so in this case...
I think he was dealing. His (secretary? nurse?) spoke of large quantities of oxycontin. That's how I remember it from the first time around. Don't have an attribution, though.

When I went to vote, I was gonna pick Abu Ghraib, but that wasn't a selection.

Then, I was gonna pick Gitmo, but they apparently removed that selection as well, so I picked "jail" as a default.

And If he wasn't dealing drugs, then he most certainly was dealing in hate and fear-mongering, and that's almost as bad as drugs......(isn't it? wait, no...I guess not.)

24. Good point
He was buying more of that stuff than he could have possibly used himself.

(H)e most certainly was dealing in hate and fear-mongering, and that's almost as bad as drugs

But it isn't illegal. In fact, he has a constitutional right to do that, just as you and I have a constitutional right to call him an idiot whenever he opens his big, fat mouth.

to millions of people every day. Yes, we can sit here on DU and type any epitaph we choose about Limbaugh, but it's hardly a level playing field.

43. And I'll tell you WHY he was dealing
Dealing is the surest way to keep your drug habit secret from your spouse.

Changes in mood can be explained away...he has to use the "dump button" lots more than he used to thanks to the 'Democrat Underground' and 'Bartcop' things he whines about all the time, he doesn't have Bill Clinton to kick around that much anymore, the butcher where he buys his lard went under thanks to Bush's economy. Something.

Big holes in your bank account cannot be explained away.

IIRC Rush was doing thirty to forty Oxys a day. They're ten dollars apiece on the street. Your wife will NOTICE if you pull sixteen thousand dollars out of your joint checking account every month and don't spend it on anything tangible.

OTOH you can deal to raise money for drugs. It's done all the time. This product probably has a 100-percent initial markup...which means you break even by purchasing 80 tablets from your connection then reselling half of them. He can't get greedy by reselling 80 tablets, for then he's got an excess-capital problem which is equally bad. (I know that when I set some type for someone, I damn sure better tell my wife I'm doing it or the first thing I'll hear is "where did you get all this extra money?" And...uhhh...setting type's legal.)

34. Hmmm, what would RUSH say?
"What this says to me is that too many whites are getting away with drug use. Too many whites are getting away with drug sales. Too many whites are getting away with trafficking in this stuff. The answer to this disparity is not to start letting people out of jail because we're not putting others in jail who are breaking the law. The answer is to go out and find the ones who are getting away with it, convict them and send them up the river, too."
-- Rush Limbaugh show, Oct. 5, 1995

http://www.buzzflash.com/analysis/03/10/ana03004.html

So, he would vote for jail.

But, wait a minute:
Radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh was booked on drug charges in Florida on Friday, and his lawyer said that Limbaugh had agreed to a deal enabling him to avoid prosecution in the prescription abuse case if he continued treatment for addiction problems and avoided any other run-ins with the law.

Gee, he wouldn't be a hypocrite, would he?

39. Jail
He can get involved in recovery programs there if he's interested. He's had a couple of shots at rehab. I don't wish addiction on anybody, but he's a menace to society in a terrifying way even without whatever his drug of the week is. So add an adle-pated mind to that menace and you have someone who needs his power to harm taken away.
Not that jail will to it, and not that they'll actually SEND him to jail, they'll send him back to rehab. Which won't work because he's a pathological liar. I can see him snivleling and wriggling in court. blech.

He'll have whatever the court wants to see--a completed or in progress out-patient program in place plus some sort of community support program--AA, NA, SOS, RA, church. Shit to show the judge. He knows how to play the game.
He'll come back, but let's hope some of his credibility with the fools that listen to him lessens.

Little rat bastard, I wish he'd to some jail, and then a year in inpatient rehab like they do for some habituals. Then drug court. Just like anybody else.
