It's a simple fact..
We don't trust republicans and their ownership in and of electronic voting machine companies
We don't trust their shifty tactics and secrecy.
They don't trust US either (or at least they tell the media they don't)
The ONLY solution is paper ballots marked with an indelible marker, deposited into a locked box, and opened/counted in full view of BOTH party's representatives.
We have excellent video cameras these days, and the ENTIRE voting day could be easily captured on tape/dvd/cd/whatever to ensure that everyone was doing their job correctly.
If it takes a while to count the big precincts...BFD.. it take a while...order in pizza.
Or..break up the big precinct into smaller more manageable ones. With paper and pen, it's not THAT hard to do.. There ARE unemployed people around who could be hired.
By portraying elections as complicated, a myth that "machines are better" has been accepted by too many people.
Elections are NOT complicated..children manage to do it in school all the time.
We trust that they will cheat to win, and they trust that we will do the same.
The only way to prove that elections are fair is to make it EASY to understand and to be fully re-countable. Machines are NOT the way to do it. ...
