Italy to remove 'Da Vinci Code' ad from church scaffolding
By MARTA FALCONI
Associated Press Writer

ROME (AP) -- The Interior Ministry said Tuesday it would remove a poster promoting "The Da Vinci Code'' movie from the scaffolding of a Rome church undergoing renovation after its clergymen complained, officials said Tuesday.

The enormous poster, featuring a picture of Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa'' and the title of the upcoming film, has been plastered for a few weeks on the scaffolded facade of the church of St. Pantaleo, which is located just off a major thoroughfare in Rome's historic center.

1. A little off the subject but am i alone in being really disappointed that
Tom Hanks is the lead in this film? I really thought Clive Owen would have been exactly right for the part.

2. Clive Owen?? No way, I think Tom is gonna be great in that part.
I just see Langdon as a slightly older, average kinda looking guy. Clive is too young and sauve for the part. It's like Jack Ryan and Harrison Ford, there's a certain image and one guy fits it to a "t".

3. On that subject
A question about the "controversial" figure seatted next to Jesus in the Last Supper-I always thought it was a women from the first time I saw the picture, when I was a child. Later when I learned the possible players assumed it was Mary Magdalen I was raised sortof Catholic (Dad is Jewish) but to hear the expert on Geo Graphic Channel it was a "beautiful boy"????? I'll admit my thought there was Homoerotic fantasy. Anyone else think this?
