I must admit, even though I have always loved that song (It's the end of the world as we know it by R.E.M.) I never really got the message before today. And now I get it. When things are SO bad, ending them feels good. Just like I feel about the 2006 midterm elections.

The world as we have known it for too long now is Cheney and his crowd in charge, and the Republican-controlled Congress looking the other way, while somehow managing (through a complicit media) to blame the Dems for everything.

The end of that, come this November, won't cure the problem entirely, but it will be the best start we can make. So let's do it.
