You're favorite in home exercise equipment that you use?
I thought i'd share this and i'd love to hear from you what you really like to use and stick with.

Anyhow heres my story, i turned 38 about a month ago and a few weeks before that i'd reached a point where i was really tired of feeling like crap all the time and decided it was time to do something so seeing how my birthday was coming up and we're i live it's ungodly hot so my husband suggested that i get a treadmill for my birthday. I had wanted one for a long time but really didn't want to spend the money considering 10 years ago i bought a exercise bike and only stuck with it for a week but i figured that walking is something i like to do anyhow so why not? OK so i get it home at the end of June and start using it and watching the food intake, not crazy watching but cutting back some and within the first week i swear to god i could feel a difference. I don't weigh myself, i find it that if i do i tend to let the number dictate my self esteem for the day so i now just go by my clothes and i measure myself about every 2 weeks or so. It's been almost 6 weeks now and about 2 weeks ago i started a modified version of the South Beach diet and i'm actually feeling pretty good, my energy level is up and i'm sleeping much better never-mind how much the heartburn has improved. I took my measurements today and i've lost 4 inches off my hips, 3 off my waist and an inch off my arms. I have a long way to go still but buying that treadmill was probably one of the best investments i've made for myself. Thanks for listening and i love this forum, it really, really helps.:)

2. Wow, congrats! That's awesome.
I have a nice treadmill that I've allowed to sit unused for a year now, and your story has motivated me to go fire it up and get to walking!

4. My favorite piece of exercise equipment is a step bench.
It has 2 sets of risers & I use if for aerobics, for leg work & as a bench for chest press, chest flys, etc.
I don't have a lot of space so it's nice to have multi purpose equipment.

5. Recumbent cycle
I owned a decent one until I had to move last December and couldn't bring it with me. If I ever hit the lottery or something, I'm going to buy one from Life Fitness, like what they have in health clubs. Those things just kick major ass.

6. Way to go chimpsrsmarter!!!
My wife and I had discussed getting a treadmill, but she has knee problems. We have an excercise bike but our butts get all numb from it(not a great one).
After some discussion we opted for an elliptical trainer. Not a cheap, but a mid range one for a little over $700. Moneywise it's a little tight for us, but in the long run, it will be cheaper then gym. We can workout in the comfort of our home. We have tv there and also weights.

Easily the bestest thing I have ever used! I love the elliptical, low impact on your joints, serious sweat!
