Does anyone know of a natural way to speed up metabolism?
Last year I lost a lot of weight (only because for four weeks I had it hard and barely ate). In four weeks I dropped 4 clothes sizes. :)

Years ago I was diagnosed with Polly cystic Ovarian Syndrome, and that has caused me all sorts of problems in losing weight. And to find out by starving myself I will lose is very tempting, but not an healthy way of doing it.

I have managed to keep the weight I lost off, but I would still like to lose a few more pounds. Does anyone know of a natural alternative to help speed up the metabolism that actually works?

Thanks,

FC

1. I know what's supposed to work
But you'll have to try it for yourself to see if it's right for you. I don't know if it works for everyone.

Last Christmas I weighed 290 pounds. I'm down to 190 now as of last Friday. I've done it by eating five small meals a day that are low in fat and sugar. I average around 1500 calories a day. The frequency that I eat at is supposed to be very important. I never get really hungry and my body doesn't throw the clamps down on my metabolism to keep me from starving to death, or at least to slow that process down.

3. Hot peppers will speed up your metabolism for a short period of time
but not sure if it helps hold down weight.

4. Energy soup!
Put in a blender a cucumber, several stalks of celery, an
avocado and several gloves of garlic and eat.

This recipe comes from the last week of Dr. Green's 21 day
detox diet. My husband and I did this three week diet two
years
ago and lost 21 pounds on the whole diet. This soup is all
you can have for the last week. We got a lot of energy out of
it.

Don't know if it works without the two weeks prior but that
soup was like being on speed! The diet is basically cooked
carbs the first week (no meat, diary, sugar, alchohol) and raw
food the second week and energy soup all day long the last
week with enemas because it really cleans you out. And the
diet includes some "greens" that are added daily
that bring spiralina and other vitamins to keep you energy up.
Look it up on the internet. We are going to do it again
starting Jan 1.

Good luck.
