I've lost 91 pounds (pics)
Here I am last Christmas at 289. I'm the big guy in the bibs.

Here I am as of last week at 198. Pardon the disheveled look. I had just hiked 2 miles through the woods.

I'm going to lose another 15 pounds or so and then start with maintenance.

That is quite a loss over 7 months. How did you do it?

On edit: Reading some of your past posts. Fantastic!

4. Regarding my other post about weighing 198.4
That was in my birthday suit. I'm currently weighing in at 198.2 with my clothes on and I did have a week where I was set back a little, but I'm back on track now.

3. How I did it
I went to a local weight loss place called MPS Weightloss www.mpsweightloss.com and signed up for their program. They say that you can have one of five different types of metabolisms. They determined mine and gave me a diet. They don't like to call it "diet" because to them it implies something temporary when they want you to think of your new way of eating as permanent. I call it a diet in the sense that this is what you eat and not so much as a temporary weight loss deal.

Anyway here's the basics of my program. Eat only whole grain bread, pasta, cereal, and rice. No white flour or sugar. That goes for all of the profiles. Here's where mine is different. I eat 5 small meals a day. I eat a lot of veggies, some fruit, and lean meat. I try to stay away from the red meat and I haven't had any since March. I also have to limit my fat intake. I eat between 1200 and 1500 calories a day.

That's it in a nut shell. I'm confident that I will reach my goal. My next goal is to stay at my desired weight. It will be a life long mission.
