Only about an inch and a quarter away from 35" waist

:woohoo:

My waist is only 36.25" now. Overall, I'm down 11 pounds from where I started.

I'm really serious about weight training now. I do weights 2x/week. And something I've never done before. I keep track of weights and reps on a sheet so that I know what weight, how many reps. This way, I know to add weight when I'm getting too comfortable.

I don't think I've ever exercised so much in my life. My entire routine can take up 2.5 hours! That's the maximum if I have a lot of time. Most days, it's more like 1 hour and 45 minutes.

It feels really good to keep getting smaller. I'm listing my downward trend on my kitchen calendar. Still have a long way to go. If I think about it, I get distressed, so I'm only thinking about the next 5-10 lbs.

edit: Re exercise time. I now know for me that it takes more than an hour a day to lose. And it takes muscle strength. In all my attempts before, I was only doing cardio and only for an hour max. That wasn't cutting it.

1. Congrats!
I do stuff that's similar to weight training at work. I unload a semi trailer every night. I've found that the combination of diet and slinging freight is working well for me. I would do some walking as well, but that's pretty much the last thing I feel like doing after work.

2. Glad you're getting a good workout at work, Droopy
There is something to be said, healthwise, for more physical jobs.

As it is, I'm a writer, so the only "exercise" I get is moving my fingers up and down across a keyboard. LOL. The data seems to be suggesting that sedentary office work is really harmful to the body.

3. Cool! What kind of writer are you?
I like to write as a hobby. I have a bunch of little stories about my adventures out on the road and the interesting people I meet out there. If you hang out in the lounge sometimes you might have seen one of my stories.

4. Hey, I unload at least 2 semis a day.
But they let me use a forktruck.

My trick is to walk around the plant at least 3 times a day. As long as I have a paper in my hand, the bigwigs think I'm doing something instead of just getting in my walking. lol
