Very Problematic Wright Quotes:
http://righthandthief.blogspot.com/2008/03/least-favorite-jeremiah-wright-quotes.html

Why oh why did Obama have to get mixed up with this freak? This is going to really hurt him in the general election. In the passages below you'll hear Wright sympathize with our enemies, and with rioters and black criminals. He is soft on autocrats like Castro, and critiques American "imperialism" and "arrogance" and "big oil" from a viewpoint that borders on the Marxist. He raises the "reparations" issue in a hopeless way, and continually links the war with "God's judgment".

Yikes. This isn't good. See for yourself:

1. "I am convinced that is one of the most unjust wars that has ever been fought in the history of the world... The judgment of God is upon us today."

2. "A riot is the language of the unheard."

3. "It is incontestable and deplorable that have committed crimes; but they are derivative crimes. They are born of the greater crimes of the white society."

4. "The question is not whether we will be extremist but what kind of extremist will we be."

see the link above for more.

1. I am still operating on the principle that he will not BE in the general election.
Because if he is, we are sunk, and any effort expended upon him would simply be wasted effort. I will write in Hillary and work to get my local Dems in office in the unfortunate circumstance that he becomes the nominee.

3. As the news people who bought the tapes spend more time with them,
more will emerge.

The Bamatrons keep saying the quotes have been cherry picked. I think it's a matter of wading through the hours and hours. I suspect he had the same mind set for every sermon.

5. I sure hope so
And Hillary and her dedicated supporters will be waiting. On with Dem issues and away from racial intolerance until well after the election.

I know blacks have waited for a long time ... but NOW...in the midst of a primary isn't the time.

6. I think there is a difference between allowing the light of day to expose racism, and starting
race wars. Wright was doing more of the latter.

7. Kikiek, it is really about a theology, Black Liberation Theology.
It's basic premise is that white churches and white people are the enemies of god. And that true salvation only comes through the black church.

If you have time, I suggest you look it up and research it. It is a separatist religion.

9. when you have about 20 mins, watch this video
the man in it is the one who invented, for a lack of a better word, the Black Liberation Theology.

This is what Jeremiah Wright was talking about in his only tv appearance on Fox with Hannity and Colmes.

James Cones is his name and this will give you a pretty good idea of what it's all about.

13. Gee...I never knew that.
that's scary. To think the man who might be our next president was exposed to that kind of thinking and preaching for 20 years! That's got to have an impact on his philosophy and thinking.

10. I don't know anymore what is going on I guess. Feels like no one cares what really happens
to the people. We are like puppets. Being used back and forth for political gain. Then they go on with their lives like nothing happened. The people are permanently scarred.
