why are we being attacked so viciously?

This is not a candidate of hope.

2. Who knows. Unfortunately, they don't even seem to realize that they're

doing anything particularly wrong.

Part of it is due to infiltrators, from the Republican and Libertarian camps.

Another part is due to the fact that this the only way they've ever seen politics played, and in their eyes won, thanks to the tactics of the GOP since the early '90's. They want their man to win, no matter what the long-term cost.

I'd imagine that some just want to lash out, and don't care about waiting for the general election.

Others probably honestly believe that Senator Clinton is in league with the devil.

Some like seeing people type "oooooo! ahhhhhh!" in reference to their posts.

And some are probably just your standard, garden-variety screwballs.

These are just my thoughts on it, of course, and I don't claim to be any sort of expert on these things.

It's a putrid place - since 2004!
Also, comments seem disabled now - but if you already have an account there, you can recommend the diary - and subscribe to it in support. if you don't, by al means - don't open one. Support the writer on one of those other venues mentioned there.

4. Am I wrong about it being the same at DU?

I've been a subscriber since not quite the beginning of DU. I posted on the DNC forum until it got so absurd
with Republican sleaze...and they took it down.

I came to DU then. My number of posts are low because I mostly lurked. I just didn't have the time to
post a lot, but always used DU for breaking news daily.

Now here I am in the bunker with all you great folk. I can now open DU and go with my eyes closed past all the
Hillary hate threads and Obama, the Annointed to the bottom of the page and find sanctuary in this group,
I also joined a group of Hillary supporters, started by Alegre, at the end of January. You guys and this
group...a great group of people who are working hard for Hillary...have saved me.

5. Gawd, he could very well be writing about DU!

Good on Alegre! Clearly, lots of these rabid Hillary haters have too much time on their hands (likely reflects his college-age supporters), and they've taken over the 'net in droves.

But BO is all about 'unity' and 'change', right? Why doesn't he rein in his disgusting, disruptive, and hateful supporters who devote all their waking hours to tearing down Hillary - much, much more than building up their candidate? All I've read from them are how awful HRC is, but hardly ever how wonderful BO is.

Really reminds me more and more of the 'you're either with us or against us' mentality of GWB, as Alegre mentioned - and that, my friends, is SCARY!

^^^^That right there is a big part of why this crap is going on. Howard Dean should be very ashamed of himself right now. Did he/they think Hillary was just going to roll over and play dead and her supporters were just going to fall in line with Obama?
