Sources for good cemetery photos?
I'm looking to find some old cemetery photos, but every time I google the name of the ancestor or the like, I get a lot of junk--and never any tombstones with the surnames I'm looking for. Any clues on how to google for specific graves? Or does anyone know of services where people take tombstone photos in various locales? I'm interested in Essex County MA and other MA and NY and WI locations. Thanks in advance for any information.

1. Try www.findagrave.com. I found my
ggg-grandfather and ggg-grandmother, g-grandfather and g-grandmother, and several great uncles.

5. Seconded -- Findagrave
You can request photos, too. They've been very prompt on my requests.

Good Luck!

3. You can always ask for an RAOGK

RAOGK = Random Act of Genealogical Kindness

http://www.raogk.org
Click to view the guidelines for making a request. When you get to the bottom of the guidelines page, there will be a link to find a volunteer. From there you can pick your state or country and find a local volunteer to help you get your photos.

I used to be an RAOGK volunteer in Wisconsin (until I was doing more work for others than for myself). If you can't find your graves in Wisconsin by another means, pm me with the details and I'll let you know if I can get the photos for you. It just may turn out that your relatives are on the way to someplace for me. Just be sure to get back to me before November. I don't do cemetery photos in the winter for all the obvious cold and snowy reasons.

4. Thanks for this!
I've posted at the Kenosha County Board, but this sounds even better.
