I'd like to do that, but it's one of those things easy for me to keep putting off. In other words, I'm shy about it.

Share your experience, please. PM me if you prefer.

1. I got measured years ago - right before I got married
I was sure that I was a 38 C, it turned out that I am a 38 DD. Was not really that happy about that. But I did get some bras that actually fit and felt good for the first time EVAH.

I have gained, lost and regained some weight since then and should probably go back.

It was far less embarrassing for me than a ride in the stirrups but YMMV.

2. Yes, at three different stores. Never had a bad or embarassing experience.
I've been measured and re-measured periodically since my mom introduced me to Dillard's fitters when I was 17. I've been measured at Dillard's, at JC Penney, and at a local undergarment shop that specialized in hard-to-fit and bridal items. Always, the fitters have been professional and helpful and informative.

It's very important that our bras fit well. Poor fitting bras can cut off circulation to parts of our lymphatic system - that's not healthy.

If it's possible for you to go shopping on a weekday morning, I do recommend that. The fitter will have more time to give you. The measuring itself only takes a moment. It's the trying on of different bras afterward that can take so long.
