Feds shutting down treatment for Late Lyme
This battle has been raging since 1993 when Kennedy and Dr Burascanno, and Dr Steere and his Senator-backer faced off in the Senate but I have it on highest authority that the opinion piece in this months NEJM was a preliminary strike to Dr Fallon's long term study to be published next month. The Fallon study was sever ly handicapped by the Feds in the first place but still showed that long term treatment was necessary and effective. What hundreds of thousands of Lyme know first hand.

A huge paid for smear campaign is set to hit the Fallon study and then they plan to shut down all but cursory, often inadequate initial treatment for Lyme.

I wish I could think of anything that would stop them but with the steamroller of economy, fascism heading toward us and the tactics used by the AIDS/HIV community neutralized by the huge amount of money and power behind this.

Lyme kills, slowly with great pain and suffering. Lyme disables children and kills dreams. It breaks up families and impoverishes them. It is treated effectively with readily available antibiotics with supplementary treatment and a close eye on complications from the antibiotics.

Osterholms book outlined how the Feds could control the population and states by withholding antibiotics and other key medicines. How the CDC would assume control of State Health Departments. How many home OTC meds have disappeared from our grasp for life threatening conditions lately with lame excuses? This is part of the whole picture and they are now closing the net on us they have so carefully laid out.

A long time ago in a prodigy or compuserve board far, far, away :)

a man came into the chronic fatigue boards yelling

" You all have Lyme!" He said you don't have
Fibromyalgia or MS or so many other diseases the Doctors are
diagnosing you with!

I shook my head and thought "What a nerve this man has to
say such things."

When I was at my next Chronic Fatigue group meeting,
a woman took the podium and insisted the same thing.
She became my friend and she led me to some of the best
Lyme Doctors that I could afford to travel to see.
My life was given back to me after having horrid arthritis pain, bowel problems, urinary pain....forgetting my name, address, etc....the pain and symptoms just went on and on...

My life is almost over now, because I could not afford the trips out of state
...it doesn't matter, I am not afraid to die.

My heart breaks still, for all of the people that buy into the medical
politico bs...

Keep fighting the good fight...and remember, some will hear you...
