We're thinking of going a few hours west, to be on the dry side of the weather, assuming it comes this way. If Rita's still a 1, we'll just stay put; at 50 miles inland, a category 1 doesn't feel much worse than a severe thunderstorm (we get some nasty T-storms here). The sidewalks might disappear for a couple of hours if the rain's truly heavy, but that would probably be it. You know what it's like.

on edit: I like the longer buzzcut on Neil, too. You know you've been watching him a long time when you remember him with shorter hair. ;-)

wanna know how tough it is to give someone a possible contact number while both of you are crying?

thanks to the work that crispy & others have done, i think i may have helped a client locate her mother today. :) this poor woman was out of her mind as the mother was a patient in a nursing home & i'm sure had visions that mom was at st. rita's or one of the hospitals where patients died. :scared: turns out, she was evacuated & placed in another nursing home in the north. don't know all the details yet, though, but hopefully will hear something tomorrow.
