Post Computer Meltdown Update!

Hi, gang! Here’s an update on how I’m doing, post total computer meltdown.

I called a PC place that my techie recommended, and the should have a PC ready for me by Wednesday night. I’ve got Comcast coming in on Thursday while I’m at work to install the high speed Internet, so (God literally willing) I should be up and running on Thursday night.

The good news? I finally get a decent Internet connection and—gasp—SPEAKERS!!! I can finally download KO’s audio files from ESPN and listen to all the snark I’ve been missing.

The bad news? By the time all this is done, I’m $600 down the hole, without a new temp job lined up after this one ends in a couple of weeks. The thing is, I have to get the darn thing in any event, since I need it to job hunt, etc.

It could be so much worse, though. I have my health (physical at least!), a roof over my head, food, great online buddies, electricity, and cable. Best of all? I have a snarky cat to love and drive me nuts.

That said...please hold a good thought for me. I've about reached the end of my tether. Every time I think things are turning around for the better, I get slimed again. Thanks, gang!
