I'm trying to sync my phone to my new computer. What a bear! It appears I can't sync it to both my old one and my new one, so I had to set up a share between the two computers, which seems to have copied everything to my new one. I've now been trying to sync for over two hours and it's still in "backup" mode. It's moving, but vewy, vewy, slowly. I sure hope I have everything on my phone when this is done, because it said it was going to erase everything -- apps, music, etc. -- from my phone before it could sync with the new iTunes library.

when I set up the Home Share thing. Looked like it did. Worst-case scenario is that I resync it to my laptop if it doesn't work right. I backed my phone up to it before I started, just in case.

Shutting a well down with drilling mud has been done many times but never w/out human beings on site and @ 1 mile underwater ....
I hope it works.

After that explode the well with such charges that it collapses the well and seals the oil back down into the original formation*. Waiting until
August for the relief well will cause problems I don't even want to write about.

* as long it does not "touch off" the methane and cause a huge explosion and releases even more oil

but I think it's crappy how GD shat all over you, Bot.

It's gotten to the point where with some people on DU, you can't say anything negative about Obama AT ALL without them having to resort to reductio ad absurdum to attempt to make you look foolish. Anytime you say you want Obama to do more about the Gulf, they say you obviously want him to use his Superman-Spidey-Skills to singlehandedly plug it up or you won't be happy. Anytime you say you want him to spend less time talking about basketball and more about the Gulf, they accuse you of saying he can't multitask or of wanting him to force all of us to stop living until the problem is solved.

Oh, and I'm with you on the LeBron thing, too. Obama put his foot in it making cute remarks about how LeBron should join the Bulls. He has no idea how much sports pain Cleveland has suffered over the years or how pissed off we can get when someone suggests the city that had Jordan should also have LeBron. He sounds like a tone-deaf Yankee fan when he says that.

He's also unaware of how very much Cleveland stands to lose economically if LeBron moves away. It's sad to say, but a large chunk of our economy really does depend on his presence, and real people are going to suffer financially if he leaves. It is not a funny topic of gossip and chatter to us as to where he is going next and which city will win the derby for his attentions. To us, it's like being the plain, unpopular girl who finally had this wonderful rich guy fall in love with her and become engaged to her, and then he loses interest and it's in all the gossip rags as to which wealthy young lovely he's going to start dating now that he looks about to throw you over. "It should be her...no, no, I bet he picks her...no, I hope he picks HER..."

Sometimes DU is just something I don't want to deal with.
