1. He sounded a wee bit drunk to me.
His lips weren't quite working right.

2. That would make today different how?
:hi: Michelle Bachmann sounded drunk too, but I think it's because she's an idiot.

3. It was different because
I now get C-Span 3 in my cable package, so I got to watch it live. :)

And Bachmann: nothin' in the noggin.

:hi: Welcome back to the Clubhouse. Baseball's finally over, the Yaaaaankeeees wiiiiiiiin, so we finally get Keith back until April.

He was at the Stadium making nice with Sean Hannity last night, too. :scared:

40. Nah, I doubt it.
Remember, everything in the new Yankee Stadium bathrooms operates by motion sensor. If Sean tried anything on him there, it might not only trigger every toilet, sink faucet and hand dryer in the place, it might automatically bring in the cops.

It's true. Listen to the tape. When Boehner starts waving his copy around, someone boos.

These people don't know what or whom to revere or disparage. Heck, I suspect they all need proctologists to dislodge their heads. Now THAT would be a medical program I could get behind.

58. You're absolutely right.
It's not only the immediate sorrow, but there's also lots of confusion and many kids act out on all kinds of levels. Sometimes, they try to be strong for their surviving parent, and don't really get a chance to grieve themselves.

It's a fine line, and there's no manual to refer to, so everyone has to get through it by themselves. No matter how much love and support you have, it's still feels like an impossible situation for a very long time.

69. I spoke to Cassie this afternoon
when I tried to reach Gigi. She sounded okay for now. Then she handed me over to her grandmother -- Gigi's mother-in-law. She seemed to be holding up pretty well, considering her son just died suddenly. Then Gigi called me back just as a contractor friend of my daughter's arrived to look at my kitchen, which I have to do something about. Once he left, I called her back.

79. I will do that
I found out when Bunny called me early this afternoon. I hadn't seen the thread Gigi started and probably wouldn't have found out until tonight. Bunny is beside herself. It's just so awful.

30. I'm with you, Rev dear.
:hi: It's just hard to get revved up about anything with that and the rotten news Keith has to report. Teabagging assholes and homicidal Army shrinks.

Of course, here in Cleveland we're already having so much fun with our personal house of horrors. Twelve dead women so far and counting. :-(

35. I've thought about what you guys are going through...
as it reminded me of the horrors of Jeffrey Dahmer in Milwaukee. Believe me, I understand... the news just gets worse every day and you wonder "why?". :(

65. Yeah. The Dahmer comparisons are obvious, even though these were women.
And I am still haunted by the knowledge that those two cops found that poor 14-year-old boy who ran away from Dahmer naked and bleeding and scared and allowed Dahmer to persuade them that the boy was his 19-year-old lover and they were just having a spat. That those cops returned him to Dahmer, after which Dahmer tortured and killed him. And that those cops were eventually fired, but they fought their firing and WON their jobs back, WITH BACK PAY, and one of them is now the freakin' president of the freakin' Milwaukee Police Association.

Disgusting. :puke:

And we have this nightmare in a neighborhood of Cleveland where the guy obviously chose his victims carefully--he made sure they were mostly women so lost to society nobody would miss them, or if they did, the cops wouldn't go crazy looking for them. *sigh*

62. Hi, all -- Sorry I'm late -- I was talking to Gigi
It's such a tragedy. How does something like this happen? I'm going to see her after work tomorrow and will go to visitation Sunday and the funeral Monday if I can.

So Keith's planning on showing up tomorrow and wanted us to know?

But he's not sure?

Well, I guess all we can do is tune in.
