Right? Brown. Lovely. Hi, all! :loveya:

But it is a new tie.

Edited on Fri Jul-22-05 07:09 PM by SharonRB
He sure did some heavy duty shopping when he was on vacation.

On edit: I like the new tie a lot -- way better than the one he wore Wednesday. Is it just me, though, or does the shirt not go with the tie? Looks pink to me.

Just got home and thought I'd zip through the thread before watching. Do you think bitching about his suits for months on end finally had some effect?

106. Sorry, but this is a thumbs-down combo for me.
I could handle the new suit with another tie. Or the new tie with a different suit.

But this suit, and this tie, together were a no-go for me. *sigh*

74. now that I've seen the outfit...
Edited on Sat Jul-23-05 12:14 AM by gkhouston
I completely agree.  on the suit; well-tailored, good color, and has a nice sheen on camera. The tie I'm not so sure of, mostly because of the shirt. There's a reddish-brownish color in the tie that doesn't appear to match the suit but which might harmonize with it, but I'm so distracted by the glowing shirt it's hard to tell. This shirt probably looks great with something else, but in combination with this suit, it's like watching a little yip-yip dog who's just heard the doorbell ring. Get it a tranquilizer, stat!

and yes, the shirt does appear to be a pale pink or a white with distinct pinkish overtones. You'd think that would go well with a brown suit, but the contrast is very stark. It could be that this combo looks great under normal lighting but the lighting in the TV studio make the shirt glow.

nothing to write home about, but nice enough, but that tie! Noooot with that outfit, nohow. And the lighting in the first part of the show was making him look really yellow for some reason.

58. Hello everybody!
What's all this boohooing about getting up in the dark? used to do it myself. Had to, the voters would'nt approve any school bonds so we had split shifts. It's so wonderful standing out in the dark (5:30AM), on a nice bitterly cold winter's day, in a skirt and stockings (no girl is wearing pants to school, no sir!). Bleh, did I ever tell you I hated high school?

the theme was "Kingdom of the Son" -- lots of wild animal stuff (not just the kids, LOL) and a general safari atmosphere. The lady who decorated the church's rooms really outdid herself as far as making clever yet inexpensive decorations. The kids loved it.

37. I have to just say, I LOVE KEITH OLBERMAN.
Edited on Fri Jul-22-05 08:37 PM by bunny planet
He won me over slowly, at first I only posted little tiny floaties for him. But after watching him since November, and seeing that he is literally the ONLY class act in television news, the ONLY man who gives dignified interviews and follows up on important stories that all the others overlook, denigrate, or spin beyond recognition, I can finally announce my complete, and utter, love, and admiration for this man. There aren't enough floatacular devices to even begin to express my gratitude. In the vast wasteland that corporate television news has become he is our salvation. I adore this man. What a class act, what a great interview with Joe Wilson. There are so many of us out here who are starved for the truth, and KO is doing his best, in a sea of mediocrity surrounding him, to give it to us. Thank you Keith.

I think she speaks for us all.

Good one, bunny!

56. Somebody else do it, I'm too shy. I am writing him a note with similar
compliments later, I also want to suggest he cover some of the testimony from the former CIA agents who spoke at the Democratic hearing today on the Treasongate/Rove/Libby affair. It was such an important meeting and so many vital things were said, I just can't bare that everyone else in the MSM is ignoring it. It will still be news on Monday, I hope KO saw it or is going to watch it. Did anyone email him about it yet?

60. C'mon, ladies: I'm a Man. I can't forward a post with "floatacular"
in it. Maybe this is a job for Patsy, Berry, or Clark. They've got the email mojo.

And you're right, bunny. Any of those ex-CIA guys would actually make great guests, especially Johnson because he trained with "Valerie P."

dog and ugly dog. Brilliant, especially since he was talking about Republicans, and singled out McCain.

act for a treasonous act. I feel ashamed for John McCain.

i thought he had been, but he's been cropping up all over the place lately so who knows?

The country will be saved by the people of conscience in the Republican party. They've seemed few and far between until lately.

76. It was a WONDERFUL interview
I'm not much of one for these, but here's one for Keith :loveya:

and let's send one out for Joe Wilson :loveya:

'cause he's another class act. I'd like to think I could show that much restraint and presence of mind if someone had screwed my life over the way the Wilsons have been screwed the past two years (and it's still going on, worse than ever), but I doubt I could pull it off.

I wish NBC would air this interview as a special segment of their evening news broadcast on Monday. They covered a tremendous amount of territory in a short amount of time and Joe Wilson exudes credibility from every pore. And his ties are much nicer than Dan Abrams'. ;-) (Okay, it's late, and how would you know it was a post from me if it didn't have at least one smartass remark in it?)

no, gk, the smartass remark about the ties is spot on. i swear they passed around that damned striped tie this week from keith to one of his guests to tucker to rev. sharpton on tucker's show....what was it made out of? scraps from the technicolor dream coat?

93. I'd say he's only average in the
"easy on the eyes" category. No third eye, no nose on the side of the face. But man, he's got more class than the whole Bush administration put together, and that's powerfully attractive. I'll take an intelligent man with character over a pretty boy any day of the week (and twice on Sundays ).

Men are so lucky - they age gracefully. Like Keith, he's gotten better-looking as he's gotten older.

unless he's completely anal and his home is wallpapered with missives, he must have been burned pretty badly to have left a note to himself that reads, "actresses act". He does not want to go there again. Ever.

109. Aw, that's sad.
And what's even sadder is that while I was away, my power must have gone out sometime between Thursday and Friday. Which means my VCR did not tape Keith Friday night.

I got to see the show, but now I have no tape of it. And because I was back late Monday night, I even had to tape the re-air because I didn't get the live show.

Talk about banging your head. ARRRRGGHHHHHHHHH...
