starting problem
I have a 94 Taurus as a spare car(son is at college and daughter doesn't have learners yet) It doesn't get driven often. A couple of times in the last month I go out and it won't start. It tries to turn over but just doesn't have juice. The battery is 1 year old and the lights and accessories work fine. After jumping it there is no problem re-starting for a week or two and then it happens again. This happened a little over a year ago too and that was when I replaced the battery.
Any ideas? Alternator maybe?

1. If it doesn't get driven/cranked often...
the battery will loose enough juice to not crank the car but still turn it over. I've had that issue with a Mustang project car of mine. you have two options that I can tell to get this to stop.

1) you can crank it once or twice a week and let it run a little bit.
2) you can disconnect the battery when it's not in use.

I disconnected the battery since I was to lazy to crank it that offten.
