Ferrari planning six new models by 2013
04/21/2010, 4:33 PMBy Drew Johnson
Ferrari is planning a wide-spread market push that will see the Italian automaker releasing six new models by the end of 2013. Ferrari’s future vehicle plans were revealed earlier today during Fiat’s restructuring announcements.

Starting Ferrari’s product renaissance will be a Spider convertible variant of the company’s new 458. Although it had been rumored that Ferrari wasn’t planning a convertible version of the 458, the 458 Spider will hit the market in 2011.

Following the 458 Spider will be a new version of the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. Codenamed F151, the Ferrari range-topper will retain its V12 powerplant, although the four-seater could gain a hybrid powertrain down the line. It remains unknown if Ferrari will stick with the 612 nameplate for the next iteration of the car.

On the horizon for 2012 is a replacement for the Enzo supercar. However, unlike the Enzo, the new-age supercar is expected to adopt either a twin-turbocharged V8 or a twin-turbo V6. Production is expected to be capped at about 400 units.

Also set to launch in 2012 is a new version of the 599 GTB Fiorano. However, not much known is about the next-gen 599 at this point.

In the final year of its product push, Ferrari will launch a heavily revised version of the California as well as a hardcore version of the 458. Like the 430, the performance-minded 458 will likely carry the Scuderia moniker.

Ferrari has no plans to launch any new models outside of its current lineup, save for the special Enzo.
