You want to see great Irish-American movie: IN AMERICA
This movie is fantastic. It just recently came out (as in a couple of years ago). It follows a family that has just came to America from Ireland in the '90s (or 80's, it's somewhat ambiguous. Like when they go the movies they see E.T.)

It's such a good story. It makes me cry every time, but it's not depressing, it's uplifting. I recommend to anyone and everyone.

1. Beautiful and life-affirming.
Jim Sheridan, the director, wrote the screenplay with his two daughters. He drew amazing performances from his actors, especially Samantha Morton (as the wife/mother) and the young Bolger sisters as the two daughters.

3. I like Michael Collins
but it is ripe with historical inaccuracies.

5. Bleh
I feel asleep. Maybe I was just tired, but I'm a HUGE Emily Watson fan.

6. Add "The Playboys" to the list.
Albert Finney, Aidan Quinn, Robin Wright-Penn.

Set in the early 1960's. Great movie.
