Friday, 11/18: I worked out today--did you?
good morning! :hi:

Today I did 35 minutes on the elliptical machine and then I went into the weight room to work my abs. And speaking of abs....

The surgeon says he'd like to fix my hernia. It's likely that I will be having surgery, not next week, but somewhere in the 2 weeks that follow next week. I'm quite thrilled to be rid of this nuisance. It may even take me down a size in pants.

So, what's your story today?

1. I plan on working back and abs later today
Can't wait. I'll take it easy with deadlifts due to getting over tendonitis in my fingers. Maybe I'll go and buy straps to help my poor grip on these type of pull exercises.

2. DU is my new workout partner
50 minutes on recumbent bike, on the road, then free weights.

When I worked at the prison, first as a guard then as Sp Ed teacher aide there was never a shortage of guards willing to take "Pops" under their wing in the weight room. Since retirement last year, I've had no workout partner - until now with DU. Self introductory post yesterday.

Had para umbilical hernia repaired in 2001. Did all the work through tiny opening right by belly button, took only 3 stitches. You'll do fine.

5. An hour of Pilates.
I'm taking the weekend off, then my last workout before my epidural injection is Monday morning. I'll be relieved to get that. These last couple of weeks have been pure misery. :(

MissMillie: To answer your question from yesterday, I probably have around 125-150 fitness DVDs and videos, but I probably only do the same 15 each week. So much for variety. :shrug: :-)
