Tuesday, 8/23/05 exercise thread. Just do it!!
Well, I'm happy to report that I had a night's sleep that closely resembled what I'm trying to do for the first time in 3 days. So, I took advantage of it and had my longest ride yet. I should be ready to top 10 miles by next week. Here are the stats for this, my 6th ride:

Time (Tm): 46m 23s
Average Speed (AS): 10.1mph
Maximum Speed (MS): 21.6mph
Distance (Ds): 7.79 miles

Here's hoping I sleep like I should again tonight and these horrible problems I'm having staying consistent finally start to abate. :)

1. Done it!
I jogged. I think it was 3 miles, but I'm going to have to drive it in the car to check the mileage. (It may have been more.)

I also did my knee work, and I did chest and back work in the weight room.

(I'm trying to shake up my routine a bit. It was getting boring. On Wed, 9/7, I'm going to start a spinning class--once per week. and I'm also going to try to swim one day a week as soon as the pool opens up again.)

2. Nice!
How do you feel after a good workout? After my rides I find I feel just wonderful. I think I'm just 15 minutes or so away from the endorphin threshhold where everything but me and the pedals ceases to exist. :D

3. I feel like I can do anything
When my kids' JROTC drill team and color guard were bringing home award after award after award last year (including a National Championship) I told them that they were "bad-asses".

That's how I feel after I run. I feel like a bad-ass. :silly:

4. I'm going to Pilates today.
I'm still having pain, especially at night, but I did pretty well after my last session, so here goes again. :)

6. Good workout with the weights
I increased the weight that I use on several exercises today. Various parts of my upper body are still stinging. Then I walked a mile.

7. Back from Seattle!
I did manage to workout on my business trip, but not as much as I would have liked to. So today I was back to the full routine and did Muscle Endurance. Hope to walk some tonight also! :-)

11. Bouldering finally
Did deadlifts in the AM and finally got to do my first bouldering at the climbing gym since I messed up my ankles. Pathetic performance but it felt good. Did some swimming after dinner.
