I swam a mile this morning and passed my 450 mile mark!

1. Swimming a whole mile... wow!!
Moving through water, that distance almost sounds like it's three states over. :) Congratulations, nicely done! :D

2. Morning bike ride for me
I had my alarm set for 4:00 after going to bed at about 8:45 last night. I still woke up at 2:45 anyway, and felt good enough to just get out of bed and not worry about that extra hour of sleep.

Temperature was a heavenly 69 degrees, with the air scrubbed clean from the thunderstorms that moved through last night. I went up to three of my laps today! Man, did I ever feel it after hitting 5 miles....

Here are my stats for this, my 3rd morning ride:

Time (Tm): 37m 19s
Average Speed (AS): 10.4mph
Maximum Speed (MS): 20.7mph
Distance (Ds): 6.44 miles

12. Wow, another lap already!
You're making progress quickly! I hope you're not too sore after your rides.

3. Good morning! Yes I worked out today
I jogged for 2 miles (walked another .5) and then did my upper body stint in the weight room.

5. Yup. Upper body work with the weights
and a 1 mile walk. I was really feeling it today with my weight lifting workout. I usually go through all twelve exercises then repeat twice without too much trouble. But since I've increased the weight that I work out with I've been getting an extremely good workout.

8. I finally took a nice walk today.
It's been a week since I injured my neck in an accident and I've been getting very restless. Yesterday I flew home from Texas and saw my doctor this morning. He told me no Pilates or yoga for at least another week but that walking was fine, so I went out and had a nice time. :)

9. Like a maniac.
Arm day, per the usual. I am 2 workouts into a new exercise I "invented" (I say that because I've never seen anyone else do it, read about it, etc, but someone, somewhere probably does it too). It involves the dip/chin machine. One rests his/her legs on this padded platform, and uses weighted resistance to assist in chins or dips (if you can't "do" your whole bodyweight). I set the weight pretty high, step into the machine, grasp the platform in the up position, and press it down with the heels of my hand, arms locked at my sides. What a GREAT tricep demolisher!! It's all about a new hand position and a new angle. I'm lovin' it.

10. Good gravy!
I think that if I tried to swim a mile, I'd need either a lifeguard or a Coast Guard cutter following me.

11. Nice work!
I skipped last week, but was back today. Chest, triceps and shoulders. I think I'm gonna do a week of "return to the gym" simple stuff while I work on a new routine which I'll start next week.

I need a nap.

13. I rode just over 12 miles in the neighborhood
checking out the range of the battery on my electric bike. The first two miles I rode slowly with a friend who was walking her dog. That was fun, getting to chat while I rode. It was a good warm-up for the other ten miles I did.
