Fri, 4/8: I worked out today -- did you?
Yadda yadda yadda.... 1.5 miles on the track, shoulders, triceps, pecs and abs in the weight room.

While I am still proud that I went to the gym today, I'm not feeling my bas-ass self today. I don't know why--my workout was just as good as any other day. Not only that, but before I even went to the gym, I went to the car wash and vacuumed my car and washed it.

You'd think I'd feel productive as hell and energetic.

Just not a bad-ass kind of day, I guess.

I hope I get over it soon. I have a date tonight--first one in MONTHS.

1. Yes
I'm glad you post these.....keeps me honest

It's hard for me to understand that I MUST continue this exercise routine for the rest of my life....or it will be a short life indeed....

so your posts are good motivators

2. I do it to keep myself honest too
I have to admit, I came very close to NOT working out today, but I didn't want to have to come here and say "I didn't work out today".

It's easier to keep up with the routine than it is to start a new routine should this routine get lost.

3. Your posts are especially inspiring because you are up and
exercising so early! I'm in the Central timezone but I still can't believe how early you are back and posting about your exercise! But it gets me thinking about when and how I'm going to exercise that day and I, too, don't like missing a day to post (though I couldn't exercise Wednesday because we had a concert to go to.)

Thanks!

10. If I don't exercise first thing, then I don't exercise
procrastination is an evil thing for me when it comes to this issue. The routine is so important.

4. I biked less but it was a hell of a workout!
I rode in my hilly neighborhood and took on some new hills. Even though it's fewer miles and time, I'm feeling pretty bad-ass because some of those hills are doozies! I'll have to take some pics someday and y'all can tell me how much of a wuss I'm being! ;)

50 mins on the elliptical.

Everybody has an off day or two. Wednesday in the gym I just couldn't concentrate. No focus what so ever. low energy, etc.

6. I appreciate your posting these!
I think I'll start recording mine as a motivator to work out (and get my post count up! :-))

I had been an intermediate/advanced exerciser but then suffered a horrible bout of metatarsalgia. A couple of months ago I found some lifesaving Epitact plantar cushions, so I can return to high-impact sports. Yay!

I primarily work out to videos, mostly Cathe Friedrich. Today I did Interval Max, an interval step routine.

Thanks for these threads and everyone's daily posting....they're certainly getting me motivated :-)!

7. have fun on your DATE!
and since I just started running 2 months ago, I've noticed that I won't have 2 "Superwoman" days in a row myself. But next week's "Superwoman" day will be better than last week's, and so on. Aim for just one longer, tougher "bad-ass" workout every week or so. So if a challenging-but-normal workout is a "7" on a scale of "10," your week might have a couple of 6's and 7's and just one 9 or 10, plus of course some rest days. What you can actually accomplish at your 6, 7, or 10 level will increase gradually over time.

14. For my Friday workout...
...I took a nap. It was a tough week. We intended to just lie down for a few minutes before the gym but we woke up three hours later and it was too late.
