for this just about all of my life. And so has my BF. Pink Floyd is something we originally bonded over 15 years ago. We are seeing 3 shows. 2 in East Rutherford, NJ and 1 in Philadelphia. I am down right giddy about it. PF Is my all time life long favorite. YIPPIEYIPPIEYIPPIE!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

1. I would
if he was coming to San Diego. It's a bit of a trek to go up to LA for a concert. You end up having to stay overnight, etc.

Still might consider it.

2. Took my father to the VA last week and we were talking about music.
He told me he spent the previous week listening to Pink Floyd. Not bad at 67 years old! I went over to his house one day a few years back and he had Master of Puppets cranked, so he's a music guy, which is where I get it from. :)

3. Hey, is he married?
Need to hook him up with my mom,65. One of my best and earliest memories was sitting in my Mommy's old dilapidated Plymouth with plastic on the windows, and her quizzing me on my rock-n-roll knowledge. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath....( It was the early 70s) When I was a teenager, my mom used to steel my Metallica records. She used to fall asleep watching Headbanger's Ball every Saturday night. So, I definitely had no choice but to love music myself.

Do you want to know how it was???

IT WAS FUCKING GODLIKE!!! Waters has never been better. If I were to say that it was the best show I have ever seen, that would be the understatement of the century. I won't give much away but everything is there and the new animations were the best I have ever seen on a tour. And considering that I am a touring video guy who does video for a major act, I know what I am talking about. Rog put my stuff to shame.

Some of the highlights were Rog dueting with himself on Mother with video from the original Wall tour. The showing of the Wikileaks video during Run Like Hell, and the video of a little girl being reunited with her father coming back from Iraq during Bring The Boys Back Home. Grown men were bawling their eyes out, including me.

Rog flipped the storyline from his own obsession with the walls that divided him from his audience to the walls that divide us all, it was nothing short of brilliance.

I'm looking into flying to London for the O2 shows. Gilmour is going to play and they are making a DVD. If I can get a ticket I'm going.

The best thing is, no matter how good you are expecting it to be, it will exceed your imagination.

On edit: I have one very minor complaint. If you have seen Waters or Floyd before you know one of the highlights is the quality of the quad sound. Well this time the quality was fine but the speakers were all lined up down the center of the arena with the sound spilling out in every direction. Because of my seats on the side I did not get the full surround sound effect. That said it had no bearing on the show, it was still the best rock concert ever.

5. I agree with everything you said. I saw it 3 times and each time ...
I was moved to tears. Each time, I saw something I hadn't noticed in the previous show. I'll tell ya what that definitely tops my list of live shows. I would love to go to the show with Gilmour. That would be a dream come true. Oh and my one complaint has nothing to do with Rog, but one of the people that we brought to the show, wasn't really even paying attention and was looking at her boots during the reunion of the father and the daughter. Like the girl started crying and before you saw her dad she was looking at her friggin shoes! UGH how can you turn aways from such and emotional heart wrenching scene unless you oblivious to what was going on. The reason this bugged me so much was she was my friends EX who insisted she HAD to go because she LOVE THE WALL. No, she just wanted to be up her exs butt. But alas, I had promised her the ticket so I could not take it back. I am still glad to have been able to share the experience with whoever I could. Sorry, I had to rant about this SOMEWHERE! HA! Anyway, I can't wait for the DVD or Download.

PEACE!
