Aid for Religious Groups

I wanted to know what all of you thought about this.

Part of me says that "hey, what's the problem with coordinating action between government and religious groups, as long as it only applies to refugees, etc?"

The other part says "Why not give more money to the Red Cross, or other non-religious organizations that do the same thing, only without the controversy?"
