What is the best place to use for building simple website

I'm a musician first and not that tech savvy. I was told that Yahoo small business has a website building tool that is easy for novices. But then I hear that, it's not ideal.
All I want is a place to put up songs, perhaps for download and sale, lyrics, and, band member bios, etc; synopsis fopr various stories about the songs. Any recommendations on where to go? I need something with instructions bassed for a layperson. Thanks.

Or in teh alternative, does anyone around here do musician website building on the side for this type of thing?
