What are the flappers on a swimming pool called?

I'm writing a story with a scene in a swimming pool. You know those flappers on the side that slap when the water gets stirred up. What are they called?

The water is drawn in and skims the leaves and debris off the top?

2. it's actually called a flapper door, technical name is "Skimmer weir" or "Weir"

i call it the skimmer thingy.
