Help with Hellsing...
I caught a couple of episodes on Christmas Eve and am confused. The show looks good, I just need info on the plot and characters.

Episode was the one where they are fighting in the Tower of London and the army sniper kills an older Hellsing soldier, plus half of the one after it.

What I (think)know:
Helsing is an orginisation dedicated to the elimination of undead (decendents of Van Hellsing?)

They have a Vampire working for them.

He has a foundling (The well endowed girl)

The Hellsing Orginisation is supported by the Crown.

Thanks for the help/info/links!

1. Here's a link with other links
http://www.thehellsing.org/

It should help you get started.

I can't answer any questions, really. I'm still working my way through the anime and manga myself.

2. The link Kef gave you will probably help
But here's some quick answers:

1) The Hellsing Organization has nothing to do with Abraham Van Helsing of Stoker lore, other than an obvious nod to the literature. The Organization is run by the Hellsing family who has a long tradition of undead hunting.

2) Yes, their "secret weapon" of sorts is a batshit crazy vampire named Alucard. He was apparently recruited by Sir Integral's father, but was kept locked in the dungeons beneath the mansion until Integral gained his allegiance when she inherited leadership of the organization as a young girl.

3) Alucard's "child" is Seres Victoria. She was a police officer who saw her entire unit turned to ghouls in the first episode. Victoria was held hostage and used as a human shield by a freak masquerading as a priest. Alucard shot both of them, killing the freak, and subsequently embraced Victoria in order to save her life.

4) The Hellsing Organization is indeed supported by the British Crown, albeit in a clandestine sort of fashion. They are also a distinctly Protestant organization, which explains Sir Integral's animosity toward Father Anderson and the Vatican's undead killers.

This is off the top of my head and it's been a while since I've seen the show, but there you have it. Some of the details may be wrong but the gist of it isn't.
